Jackson Clarke, more commonly referred to as Jack, is a twenty-three-year-old San Franciscan, the second youngest of his mother's children but the middle child of his father’s children. Jack’s older siblings, Simon Axl Clarke, Amy Rose Selene Clarke, Thomas Axl Clarke, and his younger sister, Astrid Danielle Selene Clarke, all work within the public service sector. Simon manages several shops, Amy is a practising Doctor, having graduated from Harvard, Thomas is a Biochemist, and Astrid works in the FBI as a special agent. They all share the same mother and father, Avalon Selene Clarke (nee Davidson) and Alexander (Alex) Clarke. His favourite colour is red.

Why does Jack have a different name to his older brothers? His paternal grandfather died shortly before he was born, and he was called Thomas Jack Clarke.

After the divorce, Avalon and Astrid moved to Cambridge, forcing Jack and his older siblings to fly to and from the UK every six months. Up until his late teens/early twenties, Jack had dual British/American citizenship but renounced Britain, much to the great hurt of his little sister.

Jack joined the life of crime not too long before he found the Cobra Gang. His niche was petty thefts, like wallets, watches, jewellery, etc, on the San Francisco Bay.
